Who we are
EJS Accountancy Services Ltd is responsible for personal information collected through this website. Company number 15697244, registered in England & Wales. Registered office: 68 Bryans Close Road, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 9AD, United Kingdom. Contact: admin@ejsaccountancyservices.co.uk.
Information we collect and why
If you contact us, we collect the name, business name, email address, optional telephone number and message you provide. We use these details to respond, discuss our services and take steps at your request before entering a contract. Where an enquiry does not relate to a proposed contract, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and managing our business relationships.
Our hosting provider processes technical information such as IP addresses and request details to operate and secure the website. We also use a short-lived session and a pseudonymous rate-limit record to protect the contact form from misuse. Our lawful basis for security processing is our legitimate interest in protecting the website and preventing abuse.
Who receives your information
Our website hosting provider, IONOS, and our email service provider process information necessary to host the website and deliver enquiries. Access is limited to those who need it to respond or support our systems. We do not sell enquiry information or use this form to subscribe you to marketing.
How long we keep it
We review enquiries regularly and retain unsuccessful or inactive enquiries for no longer than 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If you become a client, separate engagement terms and privacy information explain the records and retention periods applicable to our services. Hosting and mail providers may retain security logs and backups under their own retention schedules. Form rate-limit records do not contain message content and are used only for short-term abuse prevention.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this involves a restricted transfer, we use an applicable UK adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to legal exceptions. Contact us using the email above to make a request.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.
